Announcing a solo exhibition of new prints by Allison Bianco at Cade Tompkins Projects. Works include large-scale intaglio/screen prints of watery worlds in a contemporary maritime tradition that depict a rising sea of mythic proportions. Bianco researched at Providence Public Library, Special Collections viewing whaling logs, hurricane scrapbooks, and Japanese Kawaraban papers leading to the eerily humorous images. Bianco is also showing bold, graphic screen print, and gouache works that were translated into porcelain tile for her first public art commission in New York City.
The show is open by appointment through December 21, 2024. Please contact me to stop over.
